Praise God that Sandy Bauer has returned home from rehabilitation and continues to heal from her fall and total hip replacement procedure.

I am sure there are others in our NCYC family going through trials that we are not aware of or those who may have unspoken prayer requests. When you pray ask God to comfort and heal these brothers and sisters too. Our lives are increasingly becoming more fast-paced, which often translates into less family time and gatherings. Growing up I took for granted that during these wonderful gatherings I could take time to share moments with and remind my dad how proud I was to be his son. June provided us with a special day to celebrate the fathers in our lives. I hope that if your father is still with you that you were able to enjoy this day together. As a father I am reminded to strive daily to look to God the Father as our ultimate example of who we should be. I wish that all our NCYC dads had a happy and blessed Father’s Day. Proverbs 22:6 “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” This month we celebrated our countries Independence Day. Do take time to reflect on God’s goodness to our nation and the freedoms we enjoy. Although many of our freedoms seem to be under attack and “In God we trust” is not a statement many of our leaders will claim today, God hasn’t turned his back on us as a nation. Galatians 5:13 “You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.”
