P/C Hall presented a brief summary of ABYA activities for 2023.

Proposal: E liminate special status member categories, “ Senior and Non- boater”(excluding junior members).

Rationale: By having these reduced dues categories, the fixed operating and maintenance costs of the Club is unfairly shifted to the 184 full paying members. This also reduces the revenue of the Club for ongoing operating costs by $25,125 per year (see Table below). Additionally, this causes certain members to pay less for the same benefits that all members enjoy. In the current environment of high inflation and material and labor costs, NCYC can achieve an increase in operating revenue without having to go back to the membership for dues increase. We also need to be aware that we currently have a member waiting list than can backfill any outgoing members.
