Clubhouse
Well, the Clubhouse is open and has survived the Fitting Out and ABYA weekends without too much in the way of new issues. There are some items that need tending to and this list is not intended to be all inclusive: • Internet connectivity and balancing bandwidth for the PoS registers and the Wi-Fi. Further discussion on this subject later in the agenda. • Hot Water for the Manager’s Apartment Shower - *Update – fixed! • Right-sizing our propane storage in light of the requirements of the new generator. • We need a new fan for behind the bar to allow for air flow so that our bartenders don’t sweat to death. • The light fixture in the foyer that leads out to the flags (where the medicine cabinet is) is not working. • The TV in room six has no signal. • And new addition to the list: we have a toilet in the men’s room that acts as a rocking chair that needs to be reset to the floor. • Repairs to a variety of kitchen appliances (freezers, refrigerators, and ovens) oh my. • Replacing a failed freezer with a new freezer. • Fire safety inspection was performed to review our fire suppression and alarm solutions. • Repairs and improvements to the footings for the tables to reduce the risk of damaging the new carpet. It’s worth mentioning that, at least when I was at the club last, the new carpet seems to be holding up fine to the initial wear and tear that the club and its membership can put to it. I’d also like to take a moment to recognize the folks that were working the week leading up to the fitting out weekend with my apologies to anyone I neglect to mention: Shelly and John Sweier, P/C Blackburn, Marie Pepin, Colleen Hall and P/C Hall. I am grateful for their efforts and guiding hand when it came to getting the clubhouse ready for the season and the opening weekend. We also got quite a bit done between the May board meeting and tonight. Some highlights:
