II. OLD BUSINESS

A. Capital Project Update

The treasurer provided a brief year to date summary of expenditures.

B. Pontoon Work Boat Update – no update.

C. Comcast Service Update – no update.

D. Incoming Rendezvous Schedule – additions added to schedule:

1) All Ports YC – 5 boats; 7/17-20. Motion: Al Douglas to approve; Second: Philip Maniaci. Motion Carried. 2) Huron YC – 1 boat; 7/23-24. Motion: R/C Burkhardt to approve. Second: Mark Javery. Motion Carried. 3) Cedar Point YC – 4 boats; 7/30 – 8/3. Motion: Philip Maniaci to approve. Second: R/C Burkhardt. Motion Carried. 4) Put-N-Bay – 1 boat; 6/27-29. Motion: Christa Betts to approve. Second: Philip Maniaci. Motion Carried. 5) Group of four boats from Cleveland boating club; 7/13-16. Motion: Shelley Sweier to approve, provided a bona fide voting member is present as sponsor. Second: R/C Burkhardt. Motion Carried.

E. New Gift Card Procedures – Discussion and clarification of procedures.

III. NEW BUSINESS

A. Commodore’s First Request in January – CMDR reminded Board of confidentiality of certain matters discussed. B. Treating Members and all ODs with Respect – Reiterated the importance of supporting ODs and mutual respect among the membership. C. Junior Members Privileges – Discussion surrounding Jr. member category; clarification of existing category. D. Applicants Denied Membership – Policies; Members notified of a Violation – The Board discussed related disciplinary action of current member for violating NCYC Policy which prohibits bringing, as a guest, any person that has been denied NCYC membership. Motion: Bill Frederiksen proposed issuance of letter to member for violating NCYC policy in bringing person to island that was denied membership. Second: Philip Maniaci. Motion Carried. E. Policy Review - Unattended Boats; Second Boats – Discussion of related policies and reminder to members. F. Wi-fi Discussion and Solutions – Issues related to capacity constraints; solution proposed to alleviate issues of internet access availability.
