Think SPRING, with a little luck it will arrive early this year!

There are lots of plans and preparations underway for a fun year ahead so don’t forget to return your First Mates membership update and dues by March 31st in time to be included in the 2019 roster. The First Mates Fashion Show is on Sunday, May 5, 2019. This year it is being held at The Premier Center and reservations are being taken by Linda Pagel. Your form and check are due by Sunday, April 21 st . Ticket price is $38.00. This is our largest fund raiser. Donations for raffle items are now being accepted. PLEASE CONTACT COLLEEN BRAUN AT (586) 242-9698 OR SHELLEY SWEIER AT (248) 330-2141 FOR CONTRIBUTIONS AND MONETARY DONATIONS. Please help to make this Fashion Show a huge success!! Our membership meeting is scheduled for Saturday, May 25, 2019 in the clubhouse, followed by our annual Welcome Reception. **Plans are being made to put in a new wood floor in the “Boatique”. We are looking for a few volunteers. If you are able to help, please contact Jill Romatz at (586) 265-7793 or rromatz69@comcast.net . ***As part of its 2019 Special Project, the First Mates will be installing a new play structure on the island. Help is needed to bring the project to the island, along with the preparation of the play area and assembly of the new structure. Work will begin in April and continue through May with the project being completed in time for families to enjoy it “Fitting Out Weekend”.
