Commodores Comments…

May is here already and this year’s projects are nearing completion. The new bar and granite top is installed and the drywall in the bar area is up and ready for paint. The new door for the walk in cooler egress is installed and is ready to be trimmed and the new walkway between the seawall and clubhouse is roughly 50 percent complete. The First Mates project providing air conditioning and heat to the upstairs rooms is complete. The turnout for the Elite Brigade work parties has been excellent and the amount of work that has been accomplished is amazing. We will be able to use the two spring work parties on May 13th and 20th to concentrate on polishing up the clubhouse and grounds for the opening weekend. We have two open weeks on the Weekday Manager’s schedule left to fill, June 25-30, and July 23-28. Please step forward and volunteer to take a week. If you have been considering it, grab some friends and take a week. It really is not that difficult and you will enjoy it. In just three short weeks the club will be open. Nancy and I are looking forward to this year and all of the planned events. We hope you will choose to share them with us. Commodore Pat Carroll
