March 2021 Beacon

Message from the Fleet Captain Michele and I welcome all NCYC members to the 2021 boating season! We have been working hard to finalize our cruise schedule and thanks to COVID that has been challenging. Most marinas have abandoned their transient docks while many of the local yacht clubs continue to restrict guest access. However, we are happy to report that we have two confirmed dates and locations. So, get your dancing shoes on and prepare your livers for some fun!

We will be heading to both St. Clair and Lexington, MI. We are working to finalize a 3 rd cruise, but if the restrictions don’t allow we will still plan a great party at our club! A Fanout will be sent soon with the reservation process for each venue. Reservations will be first come, first serve on the available spots. In St. Clair we have a lock on all transient wells. In Lexington we have 20 currently on a group hold.

The cruise dates are:

 July 23-25, Lexington  Aug 13-15, St Clair

The St Clair cruise is going to be a bang out, costume-themed, rock band filled, party you will never want your parents to know about!!! Details forthcoming. Lexington will also be a launching point for those that are part of the Commodore’s Cruise in Lake Huron and Lake Michigan. We have such hard shoes to fill with our past Fleet Captains and we take this challenge very seriously! Rest assured, all cruises will create memories for you and your family – “NCYC Style”!
