Debbie Siwek read a letter being send to a member from the board reminding that member that dogs are not allowed in the club house. The only exception is service dogs which must have the proper documentation that can be presented to the OD in charge.
This will also be noted in the OD manual stating that the OD should ask for documentation as proof that the dog is a service dog.
Commodore Ian Blackburn read a request from PC’s Bell and Romatz requesting 25 wells for the past Commodore’s event to be held on July 23. The board declined the request since the Cleveland Yacht Club as well as the Putin Bay Yacht club already had wells reserved on that date. P/C Rick Romatz said he will look into scheduling the event for a different day.
Janice De Gregory sent in a request to bring in 12-13 guests from the Anchor Bay Chamber of Commerce for an event on at NCYC. She noted they will bring in their own sandwiches etc. It was also noted that Janice will need to purchase all drinks at the bar for her guests.
Motion to approve the above event moved by P/C Randy Pagel and seconded by R/C Glen Nixon. Motion Carried
Tom Huntley requested that he be moved from a non boating member to a boating member.
Julie and Steve Popkie requested to bring in 3 guest boats on July 19. 20, and 21. Commodore Ian Blackburn noted that permission is not required since it is a non holiday weekend. Dale Hall said he would reach back out to Steve and Julie as a courtesy advising them that prior approval is not required in this situation.
