NOTES FROM CHAPLAIN MARK JAVERY The last month has brought heartache to families

of our NCYC membership who are grieving the loss of loved ones. Member Janet Pomeroy passed away on March 28th. Please keep Dennis and their entire family in your thoughts and prayers. Lou and Janet Garofalo mourn the passing of Janet’s father Richard Belloli Sr. Please keep their families in your thoughts and prayers. Mother’s Day…… It’s a holiday that conjures up happy images of young children presenting their moms with handmade cards and presents made in school. When dad brings home flowers and the whole family goes out for a special dinner at mom’s favorite restaurant. Love those memories… Working with often troubled kids at an alternative high school I am also saddened as for many Mother’s Day is far from this ideal. It is a day filled with complicated emotions, grief, and conflicting realities. Maybe you have lost your mother. Maybe you have a troubled relationship with your mother. I know of those struggling with infertility. I appreciate these are all are things that make this a tough day emotionally for so many. In my prayers I lay your pain at the Throne of God.
