Commodore Glenn Nixon Sheila and I hope our members continue to be safe and healthy.
It is hard to believe we are just a few short months from the end of our 2021 season! Thanks to all who supported our Haul Out party weekend. It was a fun and fitting end to the regular schedule of events at the Club. Congratulations to the successful candidates announced at the General Membership Meeting. I believe I can speak for the entire membership in expressing our gratitude for the winning candidates for coming forward to serve our great Club and her Membership! The final two work parties were wildly successful. All who saw the colossal mess resulting from the tree trimming I am sure will share the reaction "how are we possibly going to clean this up?" As usual, the Membership stepped up and managed seemingly super-human effort to clean up the entire grounds! Thank you so much to those who helped! As we wind down the year, it is important to count our blessings and reflect on the enjoyment and fellowship we receive being a Member of our great Club! Sheila and I are extremely grateful for the hard work and efforts of the Club Leadership and Members.
We wish all our Members a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!

I want to thank Commodore Glenn, his lady Sheila and the Board of Directors for everything we
accomplished in 2021. Thanks to all of you for your commitment. Looking back to opening weekend on Memorial Day, we have had outstanding attendance at our great events on the island. Several standouts include the Commodores Ball (which was Over-the-top this year), The Big Smoke, Surf & Turf, Kids Weekend, The Wine Tasting, Smoke on the Water and Labor Day. Although I was out of town, I understand that the return of the Polish Dinner last weekend was a huge hit. None of this is possible without the strong commitment of our membership. Thank you to everyone that hosted an event in 2021 as well as all the weekday managers and Weekend OD’s. I am proud of all the members that are stepping up to run for positions on the Board of Directors, Cash Reserves and Rear Commodore. We had a great slate of candidates this year and special thanks to the nominating committee for all their hard work. As we look forward to the election results and members that will lead our club into 2022, I am excited about the next year. Hold on to your hats, the winter will go by quickly and we will be communicating early to get up and running for 2022. V/C Dale

November is here and most of us have our boats out and put away for the winter. We had great attendance from the membership on the last two work weekends at the Club. The outdoor furniture and barbeques are tucked away, and the clubhouse water system has been drained and winterized. Congratulations again to Commadore Glenn and Sheila for a great 2021 year at North Channel. Rachel and I hope all of you have a safe and happy Holiday Season!
Regards, R/C Brian
A Message from Chaplain Mark Javery
I would to thank each and every one of you for your thoughts, prayers, texts, emails, cards, and the flower arrangement I received during my recent unplanned surgery and hospital stay. I am home feeling way better and have a final surgery in 6 weeks. This event reminded me just how much little acts of kindness and thoughtfulness matter. We are truly family at NCYC and are so blessed by God daily. Continue to keep member Margaret Odette, their children, and entire family in your thoughts and prayers as they suffer the recent earthly loss of and are mourning the passing of Margaret’s husband Roger Odette.
May you and yours have a blessed time with family and friends as we celebrate our Thanksgiving holiday.
Thank you God for this Thanksgiving Day
God bless each of us with love, joy, hope, And memories of those that have gone away.
Thank you to our fore fathers for our religious freedom For bravely crossing the waters to a new land So that we can worship freely as we seek God’s kingdom.
Thank you God for my wonderful friends and family For the sunshine they bring to my life And the love and support they each give to me. Thank you God for your Son who died on the cross for our sins For your unconditional love to each of us And for answering our prayers again and again. Father God please bless each of us this Thanksgiving day Bless this bounty of food, friends, and family And bless each of us with memories that time can’t take away.

Tom Lisowski
Tom received a text from P/C Randy Pagel saying that Fin 2 is not shutting off properly. Tom consulted Daryl Campbell and adjusted the RPM’s, and this seemed to help the problem. Tom also checked Fin 2 for leaks, and it is dry. Tom contacted Board Walk Management at Put-in Bay about their harbor taxis and is waiting on a call back. Tom is being persistent about finding a new vessel. End of report
Fleet Captain/Harbor Master
Scott Goemmel
Fleet Captain Finalizing the closeout of the year with Dennis Alcazar. He will reimburse me upon his return from Florida and the year should be all booked (revenue - expenses) and have a net surplus to the club. Harbor Master Once the 2022 Harbor Master is appointed, I would appreciate spending time together to ensure that the work done over the last couple years is handed over - have a few templates and the process this year went well. Few tweaks are needed, but I think I have a good handle on ensuring this runs as smooth as it can.
