‌ Sheila‌‌and‌‌I‌‌hope‌‌our‌‌members‌‌contnue‌‌to‌‌be‌‌safe‌‌and‌‌healthy. ‌‌We‌‌are‌‌very‌‌pleased‌‌and‌‌grateful‌‌for‌ how‌‌the‌‌season‌‌is‌‌progressing‌‌so‌‌far.‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ Thanks‌‌to‌‌all‌‌the‌‌members‌‌and‌‌guests‌‌who‌‌atended‌‌the‌‌Commodore's‌‌Ball. ‌‌Sheila‌‌and‌‌I‌‌realize‌‌it‌‌was‌‌a‌‌ break‌‌from‌‌traditon‌‌to‌‌hold‌‌the‌‌Ball‌‌at‌‌the‌‌Club,‌‌but‌‌all‌‌things‌‌considered‌‌and‌‌based‌‌on‌‌the‌‌feedback‌‌ we‌‌received,‌‌the‌‌event‌‌was‌‌a‌‌resounding‌‌success. ‌‌I‌‌cannot‌‌begin‌‌to‌‌describe‌‌how‌‌very‌‌grateful‌‌I‌‌am‌‌to‌‌ our‌‌Lady‌‌Sheila. ‌‌We‌‌were‌‌able‌‌to‌‌keep‌‌all‌‌the‌‌normal‌‌traditons,‌‌enjoy‌‌a‌‌delicious‌‌sit‌‌down‌‌meal‌‌and‌ enjoy‌‌one‌‌of‌‌the‌‌top‌‌bands‌‌in‌‌the‌‌area,‌‌all‌‌due‌‌to‌‌her‌‌persistence,‌‌patence,‌‌skill‌‌and‌‌hard‌‌work. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ Thank‌‌you‌‌to‌‌all‌‌who‌‌helped‌‌with‌‌the‌‌Ball‌‌planning,‌‌setup‌‌and‌‌cleanup. ‌‌I‌‌am‌‌very‌‌grateful‌‌to‌‌all‌‌who‌‌ partcipated‌‌in‌‌the‌‌Ball‌‌event,‌‌especially‌‌our‌‌outstanding‌‌Chaplain,‌‌Mark‌‌Javery,‌‌my‌‌long‌‌tme‌‌friend‌‌ Ken‌‌Lipowski‌‌for‌‌serving‌‌as‌‌Master‌‌of‌‌Ceremonies,‌‌and‌‌toastmaster‌‌Past‌‌Commodore‌‌Don‌‌Vanover. ‌‌ Also‌‌thanks‌‌to‌‌the‌‌fn‌‌drivers‌‌the‌‌evening‌‌of‌‌the‌‌Ball. ‌‌It‌‌was‌‌a‌‌major‌‌feat‌‌to‌‌move‌‌the‌‌catering‌‌ materials,‌‌catering‌‌staf,‌‌band‌‌equipment,‌‌band‌‌members‌‌and‌‌all‌‌atendees‌‌without‌‌a‌‌boat,‌‌to‌‌and‌‌from‌‌ the‌‌island! ‌‌Special‌‌thank‌‌you‌‌to‌‌Tony‌‌Scicluna‌‌who‌‌headed‌‌up‌‌the‌‌logistcs‌‌and‌‌did‌‌a‌‌lot‌‌of‌‌heavy‌‌ lifing..literally. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ We‌‌are‌‌very‌‌much‌‌looking‌‌forward‌‌to‌‌the‌‌next‌‌few‌‌weeks. ‌‌We‌‌have‌‌our‌‌frst‌‌rendezvous‌‌at‌‌Lexington‌‌ Harbor‌‌followed‌‌by‌‌the‌‌Commodore's‌‌Cruise‌‌to‌‌Petoskey‌‌coming‌‌up‌‌soon. ‌‌We‌‌hope‌‌to‌‌see‌‌a‌‌good‌‌ turnout‌‌and‌‌lots‌‌of‌‌fun‌‌had‌‌by‌‌all.‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ Glenn‌‌Nixon‌ ‌ Commodore‌‌-‌‌North‌‌Channel‌‌Yacht‌‌Club‌ ‌ ‌ Vice-Commodore’s‌‌Comments‌ Vice‌‌Commodore,‌‌Dale‌‌Hall‌ ‌ ‌ We‌‌are‌‌over‌‌a‌‌full‌‌month‌‌into‌‌our‌‌2021‌‌NCYC‌‌season‌‌and‌‌it‌‌has‌‌been‌‌outstanding.‌ ‌The‌‌Commodore’s‌‌ Ball‌‌was‌‌outstanding‌‌and‌‌congratulatons‌‌to‌‌Commodore‌‌Glenn‌‌and‌‌his‌‌lady‌‌Sheila‌‌for‌‌a‌‌great‌‌evening‌‌ as‌‌well‌‌as‌‌a‌‌great‌‌start‌‌to‌‌the‌‌year.‌ ‌ We‌‌have‌‌had‌‌exceptonally‌‌warm‌‌days‌‌in‌‌June‌‌which‌‌have‌‌provided‌‌some‌‌great‌‌boatng‌‌days.‌ ‌The‌‌ clubhouse‌‌and‌‌the‌‌island‌‌have‌‌never‌‌looked‌‌beter‌‌and‌‌the‌‌clubhouse‌‌air‌‌conditoning‌‌is‌‌providing‌‌ some‌‌well-deserved‌‌relief‌‌from‌‌the‌‌heat‌‌for‌‌the‌‌Weekend‌‌ODs‌‌&‌‌the‌‌Weekday‌‌Managers.‌ ‌The‌‌ volunteerism‌‌at‌‌NCYC‌‌contnues‌‌to‌‌impress‌‌as‌‌many‌‌new‌‌members‌‌are‌‌stepping‌‌up‌‌to‌‌learn‌‌more‌‌about‌ the‌‌club‌‌and‌‌help‌‌with‌‌running‌‌the‌‌day‌‌to‌‌day‌‌operatons.‌ ‌This‌‌is‌‌a‌‌great‌‌way‌‌to‌‌meet‌‌many‌‌of‌‌the‌‌
