I would like just to say Hat’s off to this Board and the Membership for all the well supported and well attended Events and Rendezvous. I t’s been a great year so far this year so far and Kids Day this coming up weekend is forming up to be the same. Shelby has well over 100 Kids signed up at this time. Again, I want to mention Hat’s off to the group of guys that assembled the Pergola in front of the First Mates Boatique, led by a familiar group Sweier, Lutz, and Braun; they did an awesome job as usual! Thank You to the whole team. Save the date: The 2024 NCYC Commodores Ball will be February 3, 2024, at Marriott Auburn Hills. Further details will follow as we progress.
Thank You for your support.

Short and sweet. I thought the opening overall went fantastic. Big thank you to everyone who contributed. A special thanks to Sweier and Braun for installing the new garage door.

Correspondence
Following received from Members:
1. Mark, per our discussion, I am writing to you regarding a situation that requires attention. June 9-11, 2023, was my weekend to manage as OD. We had two Members staying on the second floor in rooms 2 and Sam's room. On June 10, one of the Members made me aware there was a person roaming the second floor. I immediately went to the second floor to find out who it was. I noticed room 3 door was closed but not locked. When I opened the door, to my surprise, someone was staying in the room. It turns out the Member had been using the room for some time. When approached, he said weekday managers gave him permission. We were not informed of this when transferring responsibility to me. Sunday morning, I asked if he was checking out and that I would need the room key. He said he didn't have a key. I told the Member he cannot use rooms without requesting permission from the OD. He immediately packed up and left the island. This Member ’s boat has been at the Club for weeks. Not sure why he doesn't use it. The whole situation made it uncomfortable for the Members staying on the second floor and myself. A reminder to Members about policies and procedures might help.
