People need each other In a very special way ! People need each other To survive from day to day. God had His own great purpose When He instilled in man A hunger for compassion And a friend who’d understand ! I’ve traveled through a lifetime And many times been blessed To find someone so special, With those virtues you possess ! I pray in some small measure, I may have given too, The warmth and strength and comfort That I have had from you !
