A Message from Chaplain Mark Javery

CHAPLAIN NOTES OCTOBER 2023

Please keep P/C William Bauer in your thoughts and prayers as he recovers at home. He had been hospitalized at Troy Beaumont where he was treated for several ailments.

As always remain in prayer for those in our NCYC family who continue their journeys with chronic illnesses.

A praise item to report is that P/C Denise Huntley related to me this week, that although her treatment still has a long road ahead, that she was coping better with the side effects. Prayer matters…… General George S Patton even acknowledged this when he stated during World War 2, “Those who pray do more for the world than those who fight; and if the world goes from bad to worse, it is because there are more battles than prayer.” Thankfully he also believed in strength and the warrior to overcome evil and the rest is history. I had a beautiful autumn poem lined up to share but with all the distress going on in our world I felt like I should share more. Lately I have had a few students wanting to talk about feeling hopeless. They feel that it doesn’t matter if they graduate or not as the world seems to be destined for oblivion.
