On August 27, 2024, CMDR Romatz convened a Special Board Meeting to review, discuss, and vote solely on a revised slate of Director candidates for the 2024 election. The meeting was held at On the Rocks Grille, Clay Township, MI, and commenced at 7:42 p.m. and adjourned at 8:10 p.m. All Flag Officers and Directors (Director Schroka was Absent Excused) were in attendance, either in person or via telephonically. In accordance with NCYC Bylaws Article VII, Section 3, the Nominating Committee developed a revised slate of recommended Director candidates and, at the Special Board Meeting held on August 27, 2024, the Chairman of the Nominating Committee, PC Dale Hall, presented such list to the Board for approval. The revised slate of recommended Director candidates is as follows:

Director Shelly Schroka (incumbent/returning) Melissa Winkler (incumbent/returning)

PC Brian Fringer Elizabeth Trelfa Charlie (Charles) Cook III John Hickey

Motion: VC Burkhardt to accept and approve the Nominating Committee ’ s revised list of Director candidates. Second: Mark Javery. Motion Carried with 8 votes in favor, 3 opposed.

4. ABYA PC & BOD Annual Picnic Request

Motion: VC Burkhardt for approval of request. Second: Mark Javery. Motion Carried.

5. Weekday Incoming Rendezvous Bost Cap Discussion Following oral comments from several Members expressing concern regarding the number of boats allowe d during Incoming Weekday rendezvous’ , the Board appointed a task force (John O’Leary, Christa Betts, Shelley Sweier) to develop a recommendation for presentation at the September Board Meeting.

6. Appointed Sub Committees / Weekend Sergeant at Arms Discussion

The Board discussed whether a Sergeant at Arms position should be added to assist Weekend ODs in maintaining order.
