AUGUST 2014 BEACON

While a lot of us were enjoying Aquapalooza at Belle Maer marina, Pete and Pam Poirier had something up their sleeve to ಫone upಬ that event. They had put on a NC-Palooza at the Island bringing their Jefferson Beach boaters up to enjoy our surroundings in the Flats. A well- orchestrated happening, all seemed to go well with all in attendance having a good time and enjoying what we, as North Channel, had to offer. Thank you Pete and Pam for turning what would have been a very quiet weekend into a plus for NCYC. And the Beat Goes On ಹ Karaoke hosted by Don and Barb Vanover is taking place the first weekend in August. This always is a fun-filled evening with folks being as serious or silly as they can get. I still have a soft-spot in my heart for Country Roads by John Denver but itಬs hard to get the ಫChoir Boys of NCYCಬ together to perform. Iಬll keep looking for them. In the meantime enjoy yourselves, your family and friends, hold them close for time passes swiftly. Come on out and participate in this Club of ours. Another good friend is just a handshake away.
